In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.

The Composition Department is looking for a dependable student who plays violin or viola to assist with the weekly needs of the Conducting 311 class, Advanced Conducting Seminar with Live Orchestra.Requirements:
Student must play the violin or viola and possess good performance ability on their instrument.
Responsibilities:
Ensemble set-up and breakdown: We have a small ensemble of about 5 string players plus one or two pianos that needs to be set up properly for each class. This set-up also needs to be broken down at the end of the class, chairs arranged in the classroom set-up as it was prior to the rehearsal.
Personnel management: The student employee would serve as personnel manager for the small group of students playing in the ensemble. The student would be responsible for logging attendance on the Canvas website for the course and managing attendance as needed throughout the rehearsals.
Performance: The student employee will play their instrument each class as part of the ensemble and contribute their leadership to ensuring success in the ensemble’s performance.
Music: The student employee would keep a copy of all music for the course and help distribute as needed.
Estimated time commitment:
3 hours per week: 2 hours in class, one hour outside of class to accommodate special needs that may arise.
