Description
Are you an empathetic professional with a passion for child development and family-focused care? Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Behavioral Coach, also known as a Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS), to join our Intensive In-Home Team. This role provides therapeutic interventions and behavioral coaching to youth ages 6–17 and their families, to reduce the likelihood of out-of-home placement and support successful transitions from higher levels of care, such as inpatient or residential treatment. As a BHS, you will partner with families in their homes to build skills, strengthen relationships, and foster resilience in children facing significant emotional and behavioral health challenges. Spanish language proficiency is required, as providing services in a client’s native language enhances communication, builds trust, promotes cultural understanding, and supports stronger treatment engagement and outcomes. The ideal candidate is resourceful, relational, and proactive, with strong initiative and a commitment to making a meaningful impact in the community.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm. This role follows a hybrid model that combines working directly in client homes, in-office collaboration, and remote work. The Behavioral Health Specialist is expected to work onsite (in client homes or in clinic) four days per week and may work remotely one day per week. Flexibility is essential, as schedules may be adjusted based on client and community needs.
Salary for this role. The starting wage is based on experience and company equity. Paid bi-weekly.
- $21.03 - $31.56 per hour
Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *Rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency.
Employees will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis, equivalent to 10% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), with a maximum amount of $6,000.00 per calendar year. The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full-time equivalency (FTE).
