Homeoffice Brazilian Portuguese language tagger/translator- Contract (Part-time) (copy) presso Mangolanguage

We are looking for enthusiastic Portuguese teachers or translators to help us improve our interactive reader tool. This tool helps teach Brazilian Portuguese through reading by presenting language learners with richly annotated, culturally-relevant, leveled passages.
In this remote contract position you’ll help us build the tool we will use to develop new Brazilian Portuguese passages by automating some of our grammar tagging. Your work will mostly involve basic translation and some identification of grammatical features (e.g. part of speech, person/number/gender, etc.) with the aid of our guidelines. We will also request that you attend a limited number of meetings to provide feedback and discuss the results with the rest of the team.
We expect this phase of the project to involve 5-10 hours of work per week for a period of about 3 months from the start date. However, this project will have further phases in future, and we would love to recruit someone who would be interested in doing similar contracting work with the Mango interactive reader down the road.
