Senior Brand Manager

This role is responsible for leading AAA Washington’s enterprise brand strategy, ensuring wide recognition, deep trust, and chosen consistently by members. Also, drives brand awareness, affinity, and engagement across all stages of the brand funnel, ensuring our identity remains aligned with business goals and member needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads the development and evolution of AAA Washington’s brand architecture, positioning, and value proposition to ensure long-term relevance and emotional resonance.
Defines and drives enterprise brand strategy and planning across paid, owned, earned, and experiential channels, aligning all efforts to business priorities and member needs.
Owns brand budget planning and management, aligning investment with strategic priorities and ensuring transparency, efficiency, and measurable impact across brand initiatives.
Oversees brand health measurement and brand funnel metrics; translates insights into clear strategies to grow awareness, affinity, and member engagement.
Champions the brand across the organization, collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure a unified and impactful brand presence.
Leads breakthrough brand campaigns and storytelling that elevate how current and future members connect with AAA Washington.
Owns the relationship with AAA Washington’s brand agency, providing strategic direction, fostering creative collaboration, and ensuring delivery of impactful, integrated campaigns aligned with brand goals.
Develops and executes a brand partnership strategy, cultivating relationships with like-minded brands to drive co-branded campaigns, member value, and community impact.
Oversees social media as a critical brand channel, ensuring our content reflects brand values, drives engagement, and supports broader campaign and partnership efforts.
Manages and mentors a high-performing team responsible for brand strategy and execution, social media, and community relations.
Serves as a strategic thought partner to senior marketing and executive leadership on brand evolution, positioning, and long-term growth.
Contributes to a positive team dynamic through respectful interactions, positive contributions, and active collaboration to achieve department and organizational goals.
Incorporates AAA’s vision, mission and values in day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to AAA’s vision mission and values.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct management to Brand, Community Relations, and Social Media teams.
Responsible for developing people, improving processes, reducing costs, monitoring quality, delivering results against established objectives, and ensuring a high level of service to internal and external customers.
Manages assigned employees by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, developing, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning monitoring, appraising, and reviewing employee job contributions; maintaining compensation, resolving problems, and implementing change.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (BA) in marketing, business, or related field or equivalent experience
6+ years’ experience in brand marketing, brand partnerships, brand media, and/or social media strategy
5+ years’ experience in supervisory or management role
Direct experience in leading cross-channel brand campaigns and collaborating with in-house and agency creative teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in membership=based and customer centric organizations

Strong knowledge of brand health tracking, research methodologies, and performance reporting.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Ability to think strategically with a data-driven mindset and creative problem-solving skills.
Proficient in analyzing consumer and market insights to inform strategy and optimize campaigns.
Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to work cross-functionally and advocate for brand integrity
Strong problem-solving skills.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Deep understanding of brand media, partnerships, and digital engagement tactics.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through change in a fast-paced environment
SALARY:
Hiring Range: $120,666 - $144,840
Full Pay Brand for the Role: $120,666 - $168,912

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical environment is typical of a standard office space. It requires the employee to work inside for the duration of work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, sitting for more than 50% of the time. This position will require occasionally moving about inside the office to access equipment, cabinets, etc. May work around office equipment which could be noisy, such as copiers and fax machines.
