- Professional
DevDocs is a fully remote company that hires developers to build documentation and docs tooling for clients like Qualcomm, American Express, and C3 AI.
Now, we’re looking for a full time recruiter to help grow our team.
We don’t hire writers, and we don’t just crank out docs: our close-knit team is full of technical experts who can deeply understand a client’s products, consult on their problems, then design tools and systems to automate their docs processes. You’ll be the one helping us find them.
What you’ll do
This role is similar to a typical recruiting role, but with a much more specific set of criteria that we’re constantly looking to evolve. You’ll:
- Work directly with DevDocs developers to understand what “the right hire” means at DevDocs.
- Source, vet, and engage top technical talent across software, hardware, and AI.
- Create job descriptions, outreach, and interview structures that reflect our culture.
- Track and improve our hiring pipelines to keep things moving smoothly.
- Adapt to our evolving recruitment needs (in-person vs remote, various timezones, technical ability, etc).
Requirements
What we’re looking for
- You pick things up fast and figure stuff out without needing a map.
- You write like you talk: clearly and directly.
- You think like a technical person and enjoy solving puzzles.
- You have experience recruiting for technical roles.
- You’ve built systems or projects for fun - or because something annoyed you enough to fix it.
Ideal background
- 3+ years in recruiting for technical roles.
- Experience sourcing and hiring engineers, PMs, or similar.
- Familiarity with ATS tools, sourcing platforms like Workable, and modern recruiting practices.
Benefits
Company culture
- Remote. U.S. timezone overlap, but otherwise flexible.
- No grind. 40 hours/week. We actually mean it.
- Real ownership. You’ll shape how we hire, end-to-end.
- Learning built-in. We carve out time and budget for it.
- Room to grow. Projects shift, ideas evolve, roles expand. If you want to stretch, we’ll make space.
The fine print
- 1099 Contractor (Ongoing).
- Full-time (40hrs/week).
- $35-65/hr based on experience and qualifications.
- Raises are common after 6-12 months.
- Monthly learning stipend.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada. No sponsorship available.
