Role Summary


The AR Supervisor is responsible for the daily coating production. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations to maintain safety, quality, production and team management. This role focuses on developing teams, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a best-in-class working environment.


Responsibilities

  • Manage projects to improve processes throughout the department to improve production and quality levels.
  • Train employees on new processes or to improve skills.
  • Ensure consistent communication and coaching of employees in alignment with company policies.
  • Analyzing problems that arise and determining actions that will minimize the problems, decreasing costs and/or improving yields, recommending changes management and, upon approval, implementing those changes.
  • Maintain performance records for all employees; routinely communicate performance levels and provide coaching on methods to enhance performance.
  • Provide coaching and manage employee performance, ensuring timely reviews and proper documentation of any performance issues.
  • Use progressive discipline and coaching with any employee not conforming with performance, attendance requirements, and behavior related issues.
  • Provide regular and timely recognition to employees.
  • Effectively manage employee schedules, while considering seasonal workload fluctuations.
  • Maintain the department budget including labor and equipment costs.
  • Assist in analyzing and recommending the purchase of new equipment for the department as needed.
  • Adhere to company policies, attendance, and safety rules, while maintaining confidentiality of proprietary and HIPAA-protected information.
  • Assist others as needed to meet deadlines and balance workloads, demonstrating a cooperative and positive attitude.
  • Work flexible hours including weekends, as needed, to meet lab and department objectives.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with proven management experience in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive customer relations is essential.
  • Experience in an Optical Lab production environment, with a focus on providing technical expertise, leadership, and career development to team members.
  • Strong supervisory skills, including the ability to motivate employees to achieve performance goals, effective communication, and proficiency in coaching and training both individuals and teams.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office applications.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools for data gathering and reporting.
  • Previous experience working with technical equipment is preferred.
