Requirements:
To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: 5 years OB nursing experience and leadership experience within the last 2 years. Training and experience in the area of expertise.
- Licenses/Certification: Minimum: current Colorado Registered Nurse license (or compact state RN license.) ACLS, PALS and NRP.
Responsibilities:
We are committed to improving the health of our community by delivering exceptional care and services. As the leader of the of the team in the Family Birth Center, you will:
- Work collaboratively with GVH Leadership to facilitate efficient clinical operations, staff development, effective management of resources, and quality improvement in the OB.
- Partner with the Director of Patient Care Services to support and provide oversight of daily OB operations, monitor staffing and support a safe and therapeutic work environment.
- Be able and ready to work in the OB as a team member to provide assistance when the unit needs exceed available resources.
- Communicate, collaborate with other departments in order to plan, direct, evaluate and review care for patients and families.
- Responsible for hiring, evaluation and addressing any team performance issues.
- Will implement quality controls and advancements, to improve patient satisfaction.
- The OB Nursing Manager has educational responsibilities within the disciplines of nursing and the hospital. The OB Nursing Manager utilizes an understanding of State Regulatory principles to ensure standards of excellence are fostered and met.
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally (1-33%) – Reach across midline, crouching/squatting, stooping, stairs, lifting (0-20 lbs), carrying (0-20 lbs)
Frequently (34-66%) – Standing, walking, sitting, change position, reaching, handling, pinching, pushing/pulling (20-50 lbs)
Continuously (37-100%) – Must be able to see with corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly with assistance.
Compensation: $1762.80 - $2200.00/week, depending on experience.
