Akido is rebuilding the healthcare experience from the ground up. Through early interventions designed around social determinants of health (SDoH), world-class care focused on chronic disease, and human-centered technology, we believe we can build a healthcare model that allows for all patients to live their fullest lives. We are a fast-growing, impact-focused, Y Combinator company created out of the University of Southern California’s D-Health Lab with the idea that empowering government, healthcare, and nonprofit services with population-based data could help usher in a new era of preventive public health. Today we are building a full stack medical network that leverages our predictive capabilities to provide a frictionless experience for both our patients and care providers.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, compliance, payer relations, and clinical leaders) to ensure alignment on provider onboarding and coverage needs.
  • Monitor credentialing application timelines to prevent delays and lapses in provider participation with health plans.
  • Develop, implement, and refine policies and procedures to improve credentialing workflows and efficiency.
  • Maintain SOPs to ensure all processes are accurately documented.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and payer-specific credentialing requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison for external stakeholders (payers, hospitals, credentialing verification organizations) as needed.
  • Support system improvements, automation initiatives, and special projects related to provider onboarding and credentialing.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (preferred).

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to resolve escalated issues.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate cross-functionally and with external stakeholders.
