The health services that became the Anthony L Jordan Health Corporation (Jordan Health) began more than 100 years ago, in 1904. As one of the first 5 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) established in the nation, its roots are steeped in service to those who face barriers to health and health care, meeting their need for comprehensive medical, dentistry, behavioral health, and community services. Starting in northeast Rochester, NY, Jordan Health has since expanded to become a network of primary care offices and health centers serving residents living in three quadrants of Rochester, NY and in Canandaigua, N.Y. 


Jordan Health is now seeking a Human Resources Director who, under the guidance of the President and CEO, is primarily responsible for the development and execution of the human resource approach that supports the current strategic plan. The HR Director is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources department and all its functions, including recruitment, orientation, credentialing, training, benefits management, succession planning, compensation, employee recognition, compliance with State and Federal laws, staff terminations, conflict resolution and incident documentation, etc. The HR Director will assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for accomplishing human resources goals and objectives. The HR Director will provide leadership and will communicate all HR needs and updates to the executive and senior management teams. Acts as an internal consultant to the management team, supervisors and employees on issues that impact performance.

Requirements

The Human Resources Director will ensure that:

· A human resource approach is developed and executed that supports the organizational business plan and strategy. 

·  Jordan Health is enabled to source skills and capability where and when is needed.

· A consistent and positive employee experience is ensured across all staffing models. 

· Jordan Health is compliant with Federal and State employment laws and regulating agencies. 


 Education And Experience Required:

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field and SPHR, PHR, or CEBS required. Master’s degree preferred

· At least 5 years or progressive experience as a Human Resources Generalist or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Experience:

· Extensive employee relations and union labor relations. 

· Leading and developing a staff of HR and Talent Management professionals.

· Managing the HR/Talent Management function for an employee population greater than 250+ employees. 

· Not-for-profit experience preferred. 

· Healthcare or experience in another regulated industry required. 

· Experience with multiple direct reports.

· Managing multiple locations desired. 


Licenses and Certifications: 

· Human Resources Professional Certification (SPHR, PHR, or CEBS) preferred; demonstrated progressive learning of HR trends and development required.

· Visioning and Alignment – creates and communicates a vision of the organization that inspires and aligns the workforce.

· Personal attributes – Practices inclusion, leads by example, professional presence, demonstrated level of passion, integrity and trust

· Business Partner – knowledge of business and organization, ‘customer’ focus and business acumen.

· Technology Usage - mastery of communication platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Outlook) and skill with Excel and Power Point is expected. Use of other platforms that help execute HR function and retrieve applicable data related to the workforce is expected
