GENERAL PURPOSE
Supporting faculty with laboratory set-up and break-down, maintaining laboratory inventory, maintaining laboratory equipment, washing glassware. The position will support laboratory courses on the second floor and float to the first and third floors during peak times. Courses supported will be BIO 1260, BIO 2420, BIO 3335, BIO 3465, BIO 4800, CHE 3200, CHE 3500.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set-up and break-down laboratory experiments for courses, including reagent preparation.
- Maintain laboratory inventory and equipment.
- Clean glassware and maintain cleanliness of the second-floor labs.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Some College (Biology or related field)
- 1 to 3 years of work-related experience
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Quartzy Inventory Software
PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (Biology or related field)
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT
- Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
SALARY INFORMATION
When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly rate for this position is $20.00 to $23.00/hour. This hiring hourly pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
