 Who You Are:

 We are currently searching for a detailed and process-driven Human Resources Coordinator to join our HR Team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role will perform administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department. 

In this role, you’ll be a key contributor from day one. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of important HR processes while receiving support and guidance from a collaborative team. Whether you’re coordinating onboarding, maintaining employee records, or assisting with recruitment, your attention to detail and proactive mindset will help keep our HR operations running smoothly.  Specifically, you will:

 General HR: 

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Assists with processing of terminations
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 Recruitment: 

  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. 
  • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks the status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.

 Payroll: 

  • May assist with payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.

 Benefits Liaison:

  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.

 Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, including ADP.

 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related fields and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of related experience required. 
  • SHRM-CP credential preferred.
