Job Summary


The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day procurement activities to ensure

timely and accurate purchasing of goods and services. This role provides immediate supervision to the

procurement team, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, monitoring workflows,

and supporting routine supplier interactions. The supervisor contributes to achieving departmental targets

by guiding the team, maintaining schedules, and ensuring cost and quality requirements are met.


Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily procurement activities, including requisitions, purchase orders, and receipt of
  • goods and services.
  • Ensure team compliance with established procurement policies, procedures, and organizational
  • guidelines.
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed terms and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance to procurement staff to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare routine procurement reports and maintain records in line with company standards.
  • Support cost control efforts by ensuring purchases are aligned with approved budgets and contracts.
  • Provide input to process improvements while following established practices and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet procurement needs and resolve straightforward issues.

Requirements

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) a plus but not required.


Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a routine, process-driven environment.
