Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure Coherent Quality standards are always met.
  • Ensure Coherent Safety standards are always met.
  • Monitor and respond in a timely manner to customer requests via phone call and/or email.
  • Provide technical support for the San Jose and Taiwan sites.
  • Inspect all incoming disk paperwork.
  • Plan and modify products to help meet the customer’s needs.
  • Approve and release incoming disks for production (Job traveler creation)
  • Support Sales and Account Managers with pricing.
  • Review incoming inspection photos and data to determine it’s configuration, replacement parts availability, notify any outsource planning.
  • Manage parts procurement and logistics between the San Jose and Taiwan sites.
  • Manage and oversee the Disk Refurbishment WIP system.
  • Coordinate with vendors for outside processing.
  • Review forecast and set a plan with the operations.
  • Job completion notices to shipping
  • Escalate internally and sales for delay in shipments or communication.
  • Monitoring and executing the order process on the production shop floor.
  • Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing and testing new procedures.
  • Assembles reports to document process status and changes.
  • Tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades.
  • COC report and review.
  • Monitors/maintains process controls.
  • New processes development and optimization.
  • New technology and equipment qualification.
  • Defectivity and cost-of-ownership reduction as well as other continuous improvement programv

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree in any field of study.
  • 5 – 10 years in the Semiconductor Industry is preferred

Skills

  • Professional communication skills between customers and sites are required.
  • Knowledge of Disk Refurbishment is mandatory
  • Proficiency in proper steps needed to complete the Disk Refurbishment process
  • Knowledge of Ion Implantation is a plus

 

ITAR/EAR and Other Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual).
  • Compliance with all applicable export control regulations.

 

Working Conditions

  • Working in office and manufacturing environments.
  • Need to wear job specific PPE and clean room apparel

Physical Requirements

  • Extending period of standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow the site EHS procedures and II-VI Corporate EHS standards. This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities.

Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently.  They will ensure that risk assessments are performed, proper training, work instructions, required PPE is available, and will monitor compliance

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
