Passero Associates is currently seeking an experienced full-time Architectural Designer to be a design leader and integral member of our Aviation team in our Charlotte, NC office location. The selected Designer will be involved in all aspects of project design, development, and construction. They will work with the Architect and assist in the preparation of design and construction documents, including performing basic design layouts, developing technical drawings, and supporting project research. An ability to apply standard architectural techniques and procedures to small projects or to specific portions of larger projects under the direction of senior staff. Assignments typically involve researching, compiling, and documenting project information, producing graphic and presentation materials, and contributing to design solutions. Aviation projects are completed as planned, budgeted, and scheduled. Responsibilities:
- Work with minimal supervision on assigned tasks, contributes to project design discussions, and may assist in quality control and junior staff mentoring.
- Coordinate project tasks from project inception to construction completion.
- Responsible for project development, conceptual design, technical production, and construction administration
- Assist and participate in client meetings.
- Support design, drafting, and rendering productions.
- Execute final preparation of all design and bid documents (drawings, reports, animations, etc.) for projects.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with team members, clients, and external consultants.
Qualifications/ Experience:
- 4-year Architecture-related degree; master’s degree preferred.
- Actively pursuing licensing.
- Minimum 4+ years relevant experience with A/E consultant or construction-related firm required.
- Experience with REVIT and airport terminal design required.
- Experience with LEED certification process is beneficial.
- Strong technical design, communication and planning skills.
- Knowledgeable in codes and standards; Experienced in construction review.
- Advanced design skills using Revit; Advanced use of Newforma
- Attention to detail; Experienced in quality control and assurance oversight.
- Team Player; contribute and promote a positive work culture.
