We’re looking for an analytical and self-driven intern to join our 2026 Summer Intern Cohort at Bridgewater Bank within the Credit team. The ideal candidate will develop an understanding of banking and credit to identify and analyze potential risks associated with various loan transactions. This role supports lenders by evaluating the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for lending credit with the bank.
Our internship program is designed to immerse students in real-world banking experiences, enhancing their academic learning with meaningful corporate exposure. Interns will apply the knowledge and skills gained in college to impactful projects that contribute to our organization’s success.
Throughout the program, interns will:
- Collaborate with Bridgewater employees on innovative initiatives aligned with our vision.
- Participate in departmental meetings to gain insight into strategic decision-making.
- Lead individual projects and present their work to the Intern Cohort, as well as to our Operational and Senior Leadership Teams.
Program Duration: May 26, 2026 – August 28, 2026
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates must be:
- Current (Juniors and Seniors) or recent graduate from a 4-year bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Economics, Business, or any other related field.
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Collect, review, and analyze loan requests, financial information, appraisals, title insurance, etc.
- Prepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries, and recommendations on loan structure/pricing for lenders
- Assign risk ratings to support loan requests
- Prepare credit presentations to be used in the credit approval process including cash flow analysis, forecasting of future performance, industry trends, and loan performance histories
- Develop and maintain accurate records for lending clients and accounts
- Superior analytical/reasoning skills with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong presentation acumen
- Excellent organizational skills to deal with multiple projects and priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Ability to:
- Maintain confidential information to the highest degree
- Work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The hourly base pay range for this role is $20/hr. Bridgewater Bank provides:
- Paid Holidays: Memorial Day, Juneteenth and July 4th
- PTO at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked per the MN ESST Law.
