Outside Service Worker Part Time presso City of Florence, Alabama, AL

About the Department

Performs duties including, but not limited to, assisting the Golf Professional at Blackberry Trail Golf Course with any of the daily operations of the golf-related services to the people who play golf at Blackberry Trail Golf Course.

The majority of the duties will deal with the golf cart barn, the practice area, and the maintenance of golf cars.

Position Duties

Must be able to work weekday and weekend shifts.

Morning Shift:

1. Stage golf carts for days of play.
2. Clean the cart barn and keep the outside area clean.
3. Keep the Tee Line on the practice area clear of range baskets, and keep range balls full and supplied to the golf shop.
4. Clean and wash out golf carts, then return them to the proper place in the cart barn upon completion of play.
5. Stay in communication with the Golf Shop Staff in case some out-of-the-ordinary need occurs.

Afternoon Shift:

1. Pick balls up from the Practice Area, wash the balls, and return them to the golf shop.
2. Keep the Tee Line on the practice area clear of range baskets.
3. Continue to clean and wash out golf carts upon completion of play and return them to the proper place in the cart barn.
4. Keep the cart barn and outside area clean.

Closing Shift:

1. Make sure all range balls are picked up from the practice area, washed, and all baskets filled and returned to the golf shop.
2. Return all coolers to the Grille staff.
3. Carry all garbage to the dumpster from the grill, golf shop, and outside cans.
4. Make sure all golf carts are returned from play, washed and cleaned out, returned to the cart barn, and plugged in for charging.
5. When the duties have been completed, lock restrooms on the course, secure the cart barn, and turn on the alarm.

Minimum Qualifications

1. High School Graduate.
2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
3. Must have a current and valid Driver's License.

Other Qualifications

1. Must possess communication skills, verbal and written.
2. Must possess strong skills in Customer Service.
3. Ability to communicate well with supervisors and golf course staff.
4. Ability to multi-task by keeping golf carts staged for play, washing carts after play, keeping driving range balls stocked, and tee line picked up.
5. Familiar with the game of golf.

Physical Demands (with or without reasonable accommodation):

1. Prolonged standing, walking, and/or bending.
2. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
3. Able to work in extremely hot and cold weather, as well as rainy conditions
