Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining the upkeep of our properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, repairs, and customer service. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring our residents have a safe and comfortable living environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, HVAC units, and other mechanical equipment.
- Conduct inspections of units to identify maintenance issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from residents and property management.
- Complete work orders in a timely manner and document all maintenance activities accurately.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.
- Keep common areas and grounds clean and well-maintained.
- Assist with unit turnovers, including painting, cleaning, and other necessary repairs.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and fair housing regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in maintenance or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in general maintenance and repair work, preferably in a residential or multifamily housing setting.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
