Position Description:
The Regional Account Manager of Large Animal Bedding will be instrumental in developing a network of distributors, dealers, retailers, and large commercial users for Lignetics products. This position will be responsible for the handling of top clients and new business development within the designated territories. The manager will find ways to accelerate our growth initiatives through product diversification, building and maintaining strong client relationships while identifying everyone’s needs and requirements to achieve mutual satisfaction. It will be imperative to continuously promote solutions that best align with Lignetics abilities while ensuring our customers needs are met at the same time.
This role’s success will be based on optimizing sales through price management and product diversification. Growing our existing customers to maximize their true potential and developing new customers to grow market share in the regions we service will ensure our plants can produce to their maximum capabilities. Developing regular and consistent demand will ensure success for both our plants and the Regional Account Manager.
Ultimately the goal is to strategically grow our business with our most important customers while developing opportunities to advance initiatives in the bedding categories.
Major Areas of Responsibility Include but not limited to:
· Prepare annual plans to deliver on initiatives of product diversification and improved average sales price.
· Support annual budgeting for area of responsibilities and meet monthly revenue and margin goals.
· Accurate monthly forecasting with action plans to mitigate risk and maximize opportunities.
· Provide weekly Key Account performance tracking and reporting.
· Conduct routine site visits for information gathering and rapport building with store staff.
· Identify and develop new distribution channels such as local and regional stove retailers, farm and garden centers, home improvement centers, and other regional distribution channels.
· Analyzing data for strategic approach for regular client line reviews.
· Develop trusting relationships between major key clients for industry insights to drive decision making.
· Gather and report on critical marketing data as needed.
· Work collaboratively with the Regional Inside Sales Representatives when applicable to achieve goals.
· Resolving key client issues and complaints.
· Negotiating contracts with clients and establishing a timeline of performance.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Goal oriented and a proven performer.
· Skilled negotiator.
· Strong analytical skills that drive action plans.
· Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to work independently in a fully remote setting.
· Professional communication skills.
· Five years previous work experience in sales account management.
· Basic knowledge of the industry and understanding of the market.
· Ability to travel on a regular basis as required.
· 2 to 4-year degree in related field.
