Hiring Range:  $57,228.00 – $63,094.00
Work Day/Hours: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

The Maintenance Crew Supervisor-Custodial  will update work order systems and related databases, document and facilitate custodial maintenance operations, ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures, and manage the custodial crew.

Must be willing to work during all types of weather. Overtime is required when responding to emergencies.




 

Position Duties

  • Manage front line custodial staff.
  • Compile reports and inventory sheets.
  • Provide janitorial, housekeeping, and custodial functions for multiple Water Management facilities.
  • Understand commercial cleaning practices and the materials needed to perform those tasks.
  • Understand various flooring and counter surfaces and how to properly and safely clean those surfaces.
  • Understand how to operate and train to use various cleaning equipment.
  • Oversee setting up and breaking down facilities for special events.
  • Inspecting equipment and reporting issues.
  • Assigns and inspects work; performs quality control; ensures adequate staffing levels; and ensure compliance with applicable safety and operational policies and practices.
  • Provides customer and staff assistance; responds to questions, concerns, complaints, and emergency requests; troubleshoots complex issues; reports accidents and injuries; conducts safety investigations; and provides information on policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree, or equivalent
  • Two years of equipment operation/driving experience or maintenance experience related to assignment
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience.
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted, North Carolina Class C driver's license "or" if you currently have another state driver's license, be willing and able to obtain a valid NC driver's license within 60 days of start date.

Other Qualifications

  • One year minimum experience working with automated floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment
