Quality assurance supervisor ensures that technicians inspect product and help meet manufacturing standards and are free of defects. The quality assurance supervisor will provide quality control and assurance throughout all phases of the production process beginning with raw materials and ending with the final product. 90% of the day to day duties of the quality assurance supervisor will be on the production floor.
Must have experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Competencies & Skill Requirements

- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (USDA, SQF, & GMPs).
- Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the production floor.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field preferred but not required (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 3+ years of QA experience in food manufacturing, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Experience with food & meat industry preferred
Sanitation
- Sweep floor, wash the trays, tables, wash carts, short simple conveyor, squeegee the water off the floor, throw out garbage.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend for virtually entire shift.
- Occasionally required to balance or climb.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Frequent exposure to production environments with moderate noise, cold/hot temperatures, and wet or humid conditions.
