Primary Summary:
Performs a variety of processing, research and clerical duties as assigned in support of the Commercial Loan Department in conformance with the Credit Union’s MBL policies and procedures.
Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:
· Preparation and review of commercial loan commitment letters and commercial loan closing documentation and closing checks. Preparation of loan modifications. Coordinate with lenders and closing attorneys in scheduling closings as needed.
Ø Monitors receipt of closing documents and missing items post commercial loan closings.
· Create new credit files or modify existing files to accommodate new loan documents or remove paid documents from credit files for storage in Credit Union archives.
· Complete set up and maintenance of memos for commercial loan accounts, including all required information for loan servicing.
· Process loan payments, line of credit transfers, payoffs, and other transactions as needed.
· Answers telephone and respond to commercial loan or related customer inquiries, including billing inquiries, line of credit advance requests, payoffs, partial releases, etc., within scope of authority and expertise.
· Monitor UCC filings for commercial loans and ensure that new filings are submitted after closings and existing filings are continued before expiration.
· Assist in tracking of financial statements through database program and prepares financial statement letters to loan customers as needed.
Ø Updates and monitors exception report and any other MBL reports per MBL Policy.
· Complete Colson SBA month end report for submission to SBA within required timeframe, as well as other month end reports as needed.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college and/or one to two years related commercial lending experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong written, oral communication/interpersonal and organizational skills/ability to prioritize and handle a multitude of responsibilities, meet deadlines. Attention to detail.
- Must be able to use various office equipment including PCs with Microsoft Office programs, Word and Excel.
