Cortica is looking for a Head of Revenue Cycle to join our growing multi-disciplinary team! (Southern California based)
Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Revenue Cycle Management leads the strategy, planning, and day-to-day execution of revenue cycle operations. They are responsible for systemic approaches that contribute to the capture, management, and collection of patient service revenue.

What will you do?
- Lead and direct the work of a team responsible for timely and accurate production of claims and management of denials, collection of cash, and clinician credentialing. This role will hire, promote, coach, performance manage, and terminate teammates under its purview.
- Collaborate with members of the executive leadership team to align departmental strategy and direction with the overall goals of the organization.
- Develop and monitor policies, practices, and procedures for the revenue cycle department that align with Cortica’s values and goals.
- Define metrics and key indicators to monitor performance of team.
- Closely monitor outstanding receivables and ensure timely resolution of unresolved claims.
- Ensure accuracy of the team’s work for the purpose of maintaining compliance and achieving maximum reimbursement.
- Serve as internal RCM expert and work cross-functionally on process improvements, project implementations and reporting. This includes collaborating with Scheduling, Enrollment, Contracting, Operations, Clinical Management, Revenue Integrity, Coding, Finance, Learning and Development.
- Continuously evaluate processes and systems to ensure department is working effectively and efficiently, including leveraging automation tools. This will involve strong understanding of all billing systems.
- Keep leadership informed of project progress and potential problems. Share innovative approaches with key stakeholders.
- Stay informed of payor and legislative changes that impact patient financial services, billing and reimbursement and provide recommendations to maximize outcomes.
- Travel to in-person meetings and Cortica centers from time to time, not more than 15% of the time.

We’d love to hear from you if:
- You bring 15+ years of revenue cycle operations experience in a healthcare setting.
- You have 10+ years of experience managing people.
- You hold an associate’s degree (bachelor’s degree preferred).
- You have prior experience executing systems implementations.
- You are proficient with systems and software such as Athena, Central Reach, Candid, Medallion, and Microsoft Office products (preferred).
- You have a strong understanding of CPT and ICD10 codes, HIPAA, billing and insurance regulations, medical terminology, insurance benefits and appeal processes.
- You’re able to support and promote the understanding of organization mission and goals.

The base pay range for this opening is $220,000 to $240,000. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
