Faherty is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative Assistant Designer to support our Men’s Design Team. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing brand rooted in craftsmanship, comfort, and purpose. The ideal candidate is passionate about menswear, eager to learn, and thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the Men’s Design Team across all phases of the seasonal design and development calendar
  • Assist with sketching, color-ups, and CADs using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Maintain and organize seasonal line sheets, inspiration boards, and design archives
    Help manage samples: request, track, and organize incoming proto and SMS samples
  • Prepare presentation materials for key internal meetings (line reviews, milestone check-ins, sales tools, etc.)
  • Sit in on fittings and take notes to support revisions and updates to tech packs
  • Communicate with cross-functional partners in merchandising, product development, and production to ensure design intent is maintained
  • Assist with trend research, fabric sourcing, vintage shopping, and inspiration gathering
  • Organize and maintain seasonal materials including fabric swatches, trims, and color standards
  • Prepare fabric and trim development packages to pass to fabric mills and factories
  • Create, update, and distribute tech-packs (including sketches and bill of materials)
  • Manage lab dip requests, comment communication, and tracking

 

What you’ll have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1–2 years of internship or entry-level design experience, preferably in men’s apparel
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop); knowledge of PLM software and Miro is a plus
  • Strong eye for detail, color, and proportion
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Passionate about Faherty’s brand mission and aesthetic

We aim to pay competitively for our size and industry. The base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 USD, but we will consider location, skill level and experience to determine the final offer.
