Belmond seeks a highly motivated and strategic Area Director of Sales to spearhead commercial success across our exceptional Mexican properties: Maroma, A Belmond Hotel, Riviera Maya and Casa de Sierra Nevada, A Belmond Hotel, San Miguel de Allende, plus exciting upcoming openings.

Are you a proven sales leader with a passion for luxury hospitality? In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding our market presence, and maximizing business conversion across all segments. We're looking for a visionary leader with relentless commercial drive and a passion for excellence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the commercial strategy for Mexico, ensuring aggressive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire the Area sales team (Associates, Sales Managers, Catering, Executives).
  • Expand market share across leisure, groups, celebrations, corporate segments, both B2B and B2C markets.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with luxury travel consortia, agencies, and LVMH Maisons.
  • Develop annual sales forecasts and plans with monthly and quarterly objectives, and establish a monthly sales report outlining all key achievements.
  • Work in collaboration with the Area Director of Marketing and Marketing team to ensure resources are available to deliver the Sales Plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing or equivalent.
  • 7–10 years of senior leadership experience in luxury hospitality sales.
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and driving market share growth.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to execute hands-on when required.
  • Extensive network in luxury travel segment (consortia, agencies, HNWI).
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
