Platform Engineering team focuses on enabling our client’s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.
Platform Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.
We are seeking an experienced and growth-oriented leader to help drive our Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Practice with a strong focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering hybrid cloud strategies, leading OCI-driven transformation programs, and supporting practice growth through solution innovation, client engagement, and delivery leadership.
This is a key leadership position for an individual with a blend of technical depth, client leadership, and business development acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Enterprise Architect you would
1. Practice Growth & Solution Leadership
- Support the practice head in developing OCI- and hybrid cloud-based offerings and reusable assets.
- Identify white space opportunities in the market for OCI-led modernization, including IaaS, PaaS, and Autonomous Services.
- Collaborate on go-to-market strategies, solution playbooks, and industry-specific OCI accelerators.
2. Client Engagement & Advisory
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients in designing and executing hybrid infrastructure strategies that leverage OCI alongside on-premise and multi-cloud environments.
- Lead client workshops, assessments, and roadmap development engagements with a focus on workload migration, data platform modernization, and performance optimization on OCI.
- Engage with enterprise architects, infrastructure leads, and business stakeholders to align technology solutions with business outcomes.
3. Delivery Oversight & Technical Enablement
- Provide architecture guidance and delivery oversight for key OCI and hybrid engagements.
- Ensure quality, scalability, and compliance across infrastructure designs—including networking, security, storage, and governance in OCI.
- Drive integration between OCI and on-prem systems (e.g., Exadata, VMware, legacy ERP platforms) to support hybrid environments.
4. Talent & Capability Development
- Mentor mid-level architects and cloud engineers in OCI and hybrid architecture best practices.
- Support internal learning and certification initiatives focused on OCI, Infrastructure-as-Code, and hybrid networking/security.
- Promote a collaborative team culture with a focus on learning, innovation, and technical excellence.
5. Alliance and Ecosystem Support
- Work with Oracle account teams and technical specialists to co-develop joint solutions and respond to RFPs.
- Leverage Oracle partner programs and funding mechanisms to support client engagements and POCs.
- Stay updated on OCI roadmap, certifications, and partner enablement programs.
Required Qualifications:
Experience
- 12–15 years of experience in cloud and infrastructure roles, with at least 3–5 years focused on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Experience with OCI core services (Compute, Storage, Networking), OCI-native database and AI/ML services, DRCC and Exadata Cloud@Customer
- Working knowledge of multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration strategies with OCI.
- Proven ability to lead hybrid infrastructure programs including data center migration, ERP hosting, and performance-intensive workloads.
Leadership & Delivery Skills
- Strong client-facing presence with experience presenting to IT and business executives.
- Ability to manage cross-functional delivery teams and coordinate across cloud and on-prem infrastructure stakeholders.
- Experience supporting sales cycles, crafting proposals, and creating client deliverables.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- OCI Architect Associate or Professional certification required.
