The Senior Business Partner (SBP) role for Ontario Health (CorHealth) contributes their expert knowledge, experience and insight to the conception, development and implementation of strategy, health system policy, system planning and partner engagement for Ontario’s cardiac, vascular, stroke, and emergency services provincial programs. The SBP will work in a dynamic and face-paced environment and will be responsible for fostering, maintaining, and enhancing strong working relationships and strategic business partnerships with senior and executive levels of management at Ontario Health, leading large scale initiatives. In alignment with the Acute and Hospital-Based Care (AHBC) Portfolio and Ontario Health mandate, you will help the cardiac , vascular, stroke, and emergency services system achieve greater value from existing and planned health system investments through collaboration, partnership, and integration. In addition, the SBP will develop and ensure transparency, consistency and compliance across partnership policies and protocols, and will provide quality business relationship services within a corporate framework while managing various partnerships, agreements, projects, programs, and initiatives.
Partner with system leaders in multiple capacities—including coach, advisor, consultant, facilitator, and project manager—to support organizational goals and transformation efforts.
Serve as a trusted advisor on Ontario Health (CorHealth) system and partner-related issues, offering strategic insight and guidance to inform decision-making.
Lead complex change and transformation initiatives that drive system-level improvements and align with Ontario Health (CorHealth) priorities.
Facilitate business solutions and broker strategic partnerships that meet the evolving needs of Ontario Health (CorHealth) partners.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of Ontario Health (CorHealth)’s specific business needs—such as clinical communication and partner engagement—and use this knowledge to propose and lead initiatives that align with these requirements.
Proactively anticipate business challenges and design forward-thinking solutions to support and enable organizational change.
Align with organizational priorities to develop and enable partnerships with Ontario Health (CorHealth) business units and external stakeholders that deliver sustainable, high-impact outcomes.
Apply a strong understanding of business strategy to provide consultative support that drives key priorities, including assessing needs, presenting recommendations, testing solutions, iterating approaches, and measuring results.
Engage with key leaders and system partners to communicate effectively and drive programs across stakeholder groups.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across partner organizations and leadership teams, ensuring these principles are integrated into all initiatives.
Lead the development and execution of strategic and operational plans for the cardiac, vascular, stroke, and emergency services systems.
Translate business needs into actionable workforce planning requirements to ensure system readiness and sustainability.
Analyze system trends and emerging issues to develop data-informed recommendations aimed at improving quality and value across programs.
Guide business leaders through change management processes to foster adoption, resilience, and long-term success.
Perform additional duties as required to support Ontario Health (CorHealth)’s mission and evolving priorities.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience
Completion of a master's degree, major in business administration, health administration, health informatics, information technology, or recognized equivalent, or a combination of a bachelor's degree and seven years of experience.
5-7 years of overall work experience developing, implementing, and evaluating provincial engagement plans and partnerships aimed at improving clinical care and outcomes and/or health system design, planning, and performance.
Experience in managing large/complex operations and projects, and overseeing day-to-day operational activities.
Experience in engaging and soliciting support from key stakeholders in the delivery of operational/program activities.
An understanding of how the overall Ontario Health strategy and direction impacts the various operational areas an asset.
Strong business acumen; clinical experience is an asset.
Knowledge and Skills
Proven ability in consulting with, supporting, and influencing senior and executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives and organizational outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in complex decision-making processes and effectively influence stakeholders to achieve desired results.
Skilled in leveraging both quantitative and qualitative data to support evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning.
Strong attention to detail, coupled with the ability to think strategically and proactively identify and resolve complex issues.
Adept at managing conflicting priorities and perspectives while maintaining alignment with organizational goals.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
Capable of operating effectively at both tactical and strategic levels, ensuring alignment between day-to-day activities and long-term objectives.
Recognized as a relationship builder with strong coaching, facilitation, and negotiation skills to support collaboration and consensus-building.
