What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy Team with a competitive salary range on offer, depending on experience.
This is a full time, permanent role with the following shift patterns:
Monday-Friday
0800-1600 or 1000-1800
Weekend overtime would be given as TOIL

As an autonomous practitioner within a multidisciplinary team, the specialist Occupational Therapist will assess, treat and manage their own caseload through the Occupational Therapy process.
This role will predominantly cover our Acute service which covers neuro outliers, surgical wards and critical care however there are opportunities to rotate into the neuro rehabilitation team in addition. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to develop specialist neuro skills including comprehensive assessment and treatment modalities whilst working within the unique profile of the occupational therapy profession.
The role will have opportunities to develop clinical and non-clinical specialist skills as well as experience within research, service development and progression into future leadership. The role will involve supported supervision of therapy assistants and have supportive individualised supervision and performance development with senior occupational therapists.
What will your duties include?
Managing a patient caseload through the occupational therapy process
Be legally and professionally responsible for all aspects of your work including safe and effective management of clinical and non-clinical caseloads
Effectively apply clinical reasoning to assess, progress, adapt and treat patients seeking guidance at appropriate times to ensure safe and effective care
Take a proactive lead in using routine outcome measures to improve patient care
Provide highly supportive supervision and coaching to other Caregivers and students
What we need from you?
Degree in relevant AHP area – Required
Evidence of continuous professional / academic development relevant to clinical field - Required
Current registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) – Required
Experience as a qualified occupational therapist in an acute hospital setting and neuro-rehabilitation – required
Knowledge of the 3 main areas of occupational performance (physical, cognitive, affect) and these impact meaningful participation - required
