As a Utilities Team Leader you will lead a team of craftsmen to deliver maintenance activities for internal and external customers, ensuring work is planned and executed through the T-Week process to agreed standards. You will manage safety, allocate tasks, interface with stakeholders, and support team development while complying with company policies and budgetary guidelines.

You will report to the Utilities Manager and be located at Springfields Fuel Site near Preston.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of maintenance activities for internal/external customers to agreed standards through the T-Week(planning) process.
  • Manage a team of craftsmen.
  • Provide guidance on issues appropriate to their working area.
  • Attend T-Week planning meetings and ensure work is scheduled.
  • Responsible for planning, allocating and monitoring work to develop the team.
  • Manage safety in their working areas. Use HUP, NSC tools and CAP.
  • Work with other supervisors/departments, customers (both internal and external) and suppliers.
  • Work within/understands department budgets, whilst ensuring value for money is delivered for other areas ofthe site, including use of purchasing systems (SAP, ARIBA).
  • Assist in the training of others to meet agreed standards.
  • Set goals, ensures resources and information available to complete tasks.
  • Comply with legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and procedures e.g. safety, quality, risk, security etc. applicable to the role.
  • Review local procedures.
  • A mechanical craft background would be desirable but not essential

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates a consistent and professional approach to work responsibilities.
  • High standards and expectations in their approach to work.
  • Shows initiative and maintains effective interpersonal interactions.
  • Evidence of being a team player but also able to work without direct supervision.
  • Performs tasks in a structured and composed manner, even under pressure.
  • Utilizes site IT systems efficiently to support daily operations.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise employees.
  • Have experience working toward and achieving defined goals and deadlines.
