Your Mission
To support and assist in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the finance department.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day management of supplier invoices, payments, and expense processing, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies. This role is key to maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and contributing to the smooth running of the finance function.
What You’ll Own
· Accurately process supplier invoices, credit notes, and staff expenses in line with company procedures.
· Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes, resolving discrepancies promptly.
· Prepare and process supplier payment runs (BACS/cheque/other payment methods) within agreed terms.
· Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding items.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
· Respond to supplier and internal queries in a timely and professional manner.
· Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting.
· Support the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

Knowledge & Technical Skills
· Knowledge of MS Excel
· Comfortable with numbers with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial people
