Purpose of Job
Support the maintenance and reliability of rotating equipment by assisting in troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. Contribute to continuous improvement, equipment integrity, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Create, maintain, improve, and ensure compliance with QA/QC systems, procedures, and specifications.
- Apply mechanical maintenance knowledge to troubleshoot turbomachinery system – related problems.
- Control and update documentation, including mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, data sheets, and SAP asset registers.
- Apply knowledge of the NCR process as it applies to turbomachinery.
- Manage, implement projects.
- Apply the Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Conduct root cause analyses.
- Work overtime and during shutdowns when required.
- Perform standby duties as required.
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies.
- Improve and apply Work Management processes continuously.
- Support personnel development, including mentoring of Technicians in Training and contribute to team effectiveness.
- Monitor, analyse, and improve equipment Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of turbomachinery.
Formal Education
National Diploma or BTech/Advanced Diploma (Mechanical Engineering)
