This is more than just a warehouse role. You’ll be part of a high-performing operations team, ensuring precision stock control, timely movement of goods, and supporting mission-critical workflows that directly influence service delivery.

The Role

As a Stores Operator, you’ll manage the flow of stock through our site – booking in goods, replenishing local stocks, consolidating inventory, preparing kits for production, and maintaining order across the stores area. This is a hands-on, active role suited to someone who takes pride in organisation, enjoys physical tasks, and thrives in a structured environment.

  • Perform testing and inspection of incoming stock
  • Replenish local stock bins daily
  • Issue requisitions from Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support production needs
  • Create and prepare kits for repair and customer orders
  • Manage reclaim stock processing for production, purchasing, and engineering
  • Move, allocate, and quarantine stock through internal systems
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and secure stores environment
  • Communicate any stock or operational issues to your team leader promptly
  • Uphold all quality and health & safety standards

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a warehouse, stores, or stock control environment
  • Excellent verbal communication and a collaborative team spirit
  • Strong organisational skills with a sharp eye for detail
  • Physically capable of performing regular lifting and manual handling
  • Proficient in using computers and inventory management systems
  • Calm under pressure, efficient, and proactive

Entry Requirements

  • MS Excel (Intermediate), Outlook, Word, Inventory Management systems
  • Must pass: Basic Criminal Record Check, Identity Check, Sanction Check, Credit Check

What We Offer

  • A structured, stable working schedule – Monday to Friday, no weekends
  • Supportive and safety-focused work environment
  • Career development opportunities within a growing operations function
  • Ongoing training and exposure to cross-functional processes
  • Be part of a team that plays a crucial role in a larger mission-driven company
  • A salary rising to £24,490.50 after successful completion of a 6 month probationary period.
  • A workplace that values reliability, accuracy, and pride in the job
