Your impact
The Security Operations coordinator is responsible to the Site Security Manager for the coordination and control of all aspects of physical security, ensuring compliance with National Security Regulations. Identifying best practices, utilising technical solutions where appropriate, for the security of company personnel, assets and infrastructure.
What you’ll do as a Security Operations Coordinator
Lead all Business Security day to day operational requirements in the delivery of current and future business objectives
Ensuring compliance to policy, process, and procedure adherence and process improvisation to achieve operational objectives.
Implement Physical / Personnel Security policies, procedures in a consistent manner across all sites to align with internal and external compliance
Manage, monitor and report on security visits and inspections by Government and Contracting Authority
Ensuring daily management, administration & maintenance of all security technology to achieve operational effectiveness.
Identify, document, mitigate and monitor physical and personnel security threats and vulnerabilities
Manage budget related to site security delivery, identifying and investigating differences between budget and actual.
Implement the operational delivery of Business Security strategic objectives
Develops internal / external security stakeholder relationships in support of the business and functional objectives
Act as an ambassador for Security to establish and develop a security culture.
Manage, motivate and develop all site security teams and related resources for the effective and timely delivery of Leonardo security requirements.
Manage third party suppliers and relationships in order to ensure cost effective delivery of required services
What you'll bring
Knowledge and experience in Operational Security Management preferably within Defence Industry
Security Risk Management experience
Strong leadership skills with experience of leading and motivating teams
Manage and inspire diversely located team members to focus on common goals and timelines
Experience of implementing policy and guidance
Clear understanding of National Protective Security Authority operational requirement processes and working with approved equipment catalogues
Manage internal and external issues to deliver the business outcomes
Have good planning and analytical skills
Ability to complete a Security Controller and MoD Crypto custodian course
Security Clearance
This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
