Programmatic Business Development Manager, DAX

Overview of the job
Programmatic is one of the fastest-growing areas of our business, and we’re looking for a skilled and ambitious business development manager to help drive its next phase of growth.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for generating incremental digital revenue across the DAX Outdoor and Audio portfolio, working with key agency partners and trading desks. You’ll use your programmatic expertise and strong DSP relationships to help agencies and advertisers unlock the full potential of DAX.

Responsibilities of the role
- Generate Programmatic revenue across your assigned patch, from both digital audio and programmatic outdoor.
- Build and maintain influential relationships with agency stakeholders (Heads of Digital, Programmatic Leads, Planners, Buyers), ensuring DAX is front of mind for briefs, new business and innovation.
- Act as the face of DAX within your patch, leading external meetings and maintaining a high profile across digital and programmatic teams.
- Collaborate and align with DAX business development leads across audio and outdoor, as well as agency managers and programmatic managers, to avoid overlap and ensure a joined-up approach to new business and account growth.
- Partner with product, tech, and operational teams to ensure campaigns are activated and delivered seamlessly and provide market feedback to inform future product development.
- Support the Programmatic Sales Director in delivering the overall programmatic strategy and revenue targets.
- Contribute to internal communication efforts, sharing updates and insights to support the wider agency sales team’s understanding of programmatic.
What you will need
- 5+ years’ experience in programmatic sales, with a solid understanding of DSPs, SSPs, or platforms such as Google Ad Manager.
- Strong understanding of the programmatic supply chain, digital media products, audience targeting and measurement solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue, including new business wins and upsell opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the confidence to work across all levels internally and externally.
- Ability to develop and execute effective account plans, manage a sales pipeline, and forecast accurately.
- Commercially astute and solutions-focused, with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of digital audio and PrOOH (preferred).
What success looks like:
In the first few months, you will have:
- Delivered a clear digital business plan and implemented it across your agency patch.
- Built strong relationships within key agency departments, including programmatic and digital teams, and colleagues across Global.
- Demonstrated high levels of client engagement through meetings, calls and business development activity.
- Successfully participated in pitches and seen campaigns go live.
- Developed deep understanding of DAX and its market USPs.
- Thrived in a supportive, passionate team.
