As an Associate I, Quality Control Lab - Microbiology supporting the Environmental Monitoring and Product Testing group, you will be trusted to conduct and analyze in-process and final product quality analyses/inspection in compliance with standards and regulatory requirements at our Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth ASPEX, TX!

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Perform environmental monitoring sampling of aseptic areas, along with testing needed to support personnel monitoring for production.

  • Identify ongoing quality issues, prevent potential production issues, and make suggestions for improvement.

  • Interpret and evaluate analyses for accuracy and precision against established specifications and recommend/implement corrective actions as needed.

  • May be responsible for analytical and protocol report writing and standard operating procedures.

  • Possibly maintain lab equipment and reagent preparation and quality.

  • Maintain supplies/stocks needed by production team.

  • Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.

  • Train other analysts to perform laboratory procedures and assays.

  • Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols.

What You’ll Bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

  • Work Hours: 2nd shift (8 hours): Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM CST

  • Location: Onsite

  • Travel Requirements: 0 – 10%

  • Relocation Assistance: None
