YOUR ROLE

 

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager - Project Logistics to lead CEVA’s operational delivery for complex project cargo movements across Australia.

 

Based within our Project Logistics division, this national role oversees field execution, team performance, and end-to-end operational planning for high-profile movements in the energy, industrial and infrastructure sectors. This is a leadership opportunity for a strategic thinker with strong field execution and people management skills.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Specifically, you will:

 

  • Lead safe, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of project logistics operations, including OOG, heavy-lift and multimodal cargo
  • Manage and mentor operational staff across CEVA’s Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne hubs
  • Plan and allocate field and subcontractor resources for port/site execution
  • Act as the primary escalation point for operational risks, safety issues, and service delays
  • Collaborate with commercial and BD teams on solution design, feasibility, and methodology planning
  • Oversee milestone tracking, job file closure, and accurate reporting through the freight management system
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and project-level KPIs across safety, delivery and financial metrics
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, Chain of Responsibility, and CEVA standards.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Our ideal candidate has deep experience managing international logistics projects and leading operational teams across multiple sites. You will also bring:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Engineering or Supply Chain Management
  • Solid experience in project logistics execution, including port/site operations
  • Experience managing field or operational teams
  • Strong understanding of heavy-lift, OOG and multimodal cargo handling
  • Sound working knowledge of WHS, CoR and relevant Australian logistics regulations
  • Experience with CargoWise, SAP or similar systems (desirable)
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills
  • Flexibility to travel within Australia and participate in after-hours operational support as required.

 

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
