As ING advances its Leap strategy, this role plays a key part in transforming delivery practices and building the bank of the future. The Senior Delivery Lead works across complex environments to improve delivery maturity, prioritize work effectively, and maintain clear communication with senior leadership.
The Senior Delivery Lead is responsible for driving the successful delivery of technology changes across ING’s portfolio. This includes coordinating feature planning, managing cross-team collaboration, and ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes.
Reporting to the IT Area Lead, the role focuses on uplifting productivity, enforcing Agile and CI/CD practices, and coaching teams to deliver robust, scalable, and production-ready solutions.
What you’ll do …
Lead and coordinate end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes across squads and vendors.
Engage and align stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable plans and maintaining clear communication throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Ensure operational excellence and compliance, managing incidents, patching, and regulatory adherence within the Business Banking domain.
Optimize system performance and resilience, implementing proactive monitoring, tuning, and disaster recovery strategies.
Champion agile practices and continuous improvement, coaching teams and fostering a culture of delivery maturity and innovation.
What we’re looking for…
Proven delivery leadership with 6–10 years of experience managing large-scale technology teams and programs in financial services and banking.
Strong technical expertise across J2EE, .NET, Polymer, public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and service management tooling.
Advanced stakeholder and vendor management including negotiation of multimillion-dollar contracts and alignment of digital product strategies.
Exceptional communication and agile leadership skills, with a track record of driving engineering capability, distributed delivery, and continuous improvement.
Proven experience in developing engineering capability and effectiveness in a team
