Your Role  

 

As a Customer Care Consultant, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers and business partners, providing exceptional service and support across CGU products, policies, and services. You’ll handle enquiries with care and efficiency, ensuring every interaction meets our high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.  

 

Your day-to-day will include managing policy-related transactions, identifying customer needs, and building strong relationships with our business partners. You’ll also play a key role in supporting sales and retention opportunities, contributing to a high-performing team that values collaboration and continuous improvement. Your IAG journey commences on 3rd November 2025 with a comprehensive, 14-week training in one of our IAG offices which includes three days training on site and two days from home. Successful candidates will work from our call centres located in Boorloo (Perth), Dharug country (Parramatta, Sydney) or Meanjin (Brisbane). 

 

 Your standard working hours will be Monday to Friday, including some public holidays, on a rotational roster between 8:00am and 8:00pm. Rosters will be provided four weeks in advance to ensure clarity and support your ability to plan ahead. 

 

About You  

 

You’re passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’re confident navigating multiple systems and have a knack for problem-solving and communication. You’ll bring:  

  

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  
  • Attention to detail and time management  
  • Ability to multitask and manage call volumes  
  • A customer-first mindset with a sales and customer retention focus  
  • Tech-savvy and proven ability to confidently use multiple systems and platforms simultaneously  
  • Ability to work effectively in a structured environment by adhering to protocols and procedures designed to deliver compliant, consistent and efficient customer service  
  • Previous experience in customer service (insurance experience is a plus)  
  • A drive to build a long-term career and take on new challenges  
  • Career ambition and motivation to grow within a dynamic organisation.
