Job Title: Planner/Scheduler
Reports to: Process Engineering Manager
Position Status: Full Time Employee
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Responsible for monitoring and creating various classes of part numbers in the system, generating job orders, and assembling sales kits. This role also involves ensuring data accuracy in support of manufacturing and project management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure accurate part number creation, including master data such as bin locations, class categories, units of measure, method of manufacturing (Routings), and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Generate job orders in the system, including all required labor operations for manufacturing processes.
- Create sales kits based on sales and/or project manager requests to support specialized invoicing for certain projects.
- Assist with the closing of work orders when required.
- Maintain attention to detail when defining job operations.
- Collaborate with operations staff to ensure accurate specifications, processing methods, and handling components.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Preparing data for an MRP environment.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished
in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several
concrete variables in standardized situations
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Associates degree or above preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in planning and scheduling preferred
