SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The QC Specialist participates in the daily operations of the Quality Control department, which may include various internal compliance reporting, internal loan audits performing a variety of support duties related to member loan and account relationships, tasks necessary to process GAP refunds and vehicle titles in a timely and accurate manner, and maintenance of and organization of credit union records.


CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Process, track and manage GAP refunds as required
  • Review paid-off loan report daily, process loan closing information and request electronic lien release(s)
  • Gather and send all requested member data in compliance with federal/state subpoenas
  • Process Skip-A-Pay requests and Due Date changes, Deferments, CPI and Due Date Update requests
  • Process daily outgoing member letters and notices
  • Sort and deliver incoming mail bags to proper department
  • Assist with safe deposit boxes when needed
  • Assist with scanning and indexing of documents
  • Assist with filing and other office related clerical work
  • Cross-train for department responsibilities to ensure coverage of all department functions
  • Adhere to compliance, policies & regulations
  • Practice professional written and oral communications
  • Other duties as assigned 
  • Assist with Credit Report disputes daily
  • Assist with Posting Payoffs when needed
  • Assist with Processing Subordination Requests
  • Prepare required Month-End Reports every month within the first 5 business days
  • Assist with VOD requests
  • Assist with Loan Audits 
  • Release Deed of Trust Liens with its corresponding County
  • Assist with all other requests received by the QC Department



Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to organize and implement tasks assigned effectively
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities, with strength in identifying and implementing solutions when applicable
  • Highly responsive, action and solution-oriented
  •  Collaborative personality; work as a teammate 
  • Ability to create and maintain positive, constructive employee relations
  • Ability to work with all levels of Management
  • Must be detailed-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and accurately
  • Displays professionalism in appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to organize and implement tasks assigned effectively

EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING

High school Diploma or equivalent.

Some college or Associates degree preferred.


EXPERIENCE

Minimum 6 months in office/financial setting.

One-year financial institution experience preferred.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Starting hourly rate - $20.67

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

In-office attendance is required.

Work Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
