Kindergarten Instructional Assistant 2 hpd (2025-2026) - Shepherdsville Elementary presso Bullitt County Schools

This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.

NOTICE OF POSSIBLE WAIVER: To expedite the hiring for this position, the hiring supervisor may apply for a waiver of the 15 day posting period to prevent disruption of necessary instructional or support services. 

SES is looking for a kindergarten assistant who can support a K/1 Split classroom. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail oriented and have a love for students. This person will work in the middle of the day (approximately 12:00 PM-2:00 PM with some possible minor adjustments in start and end time to be decided upon hiring).

This position is 2 hours per day and 179 days per year

170 student instructional days, 2 extended days and 7 Bullitt/planning days 

Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date. 

This position is part time and not eligible for benefits unless combined with another position.

• Must have 48 semester hours, an Associates Degree or have a high school diploma and have passed the paraeducator assessment exam.  Must provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE:  It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)
