- Provide patient care assistance and participate in medical procedures.
- Efficient/timely rooming of patients, perform EKGs
- Efficiently manage and organize patient records and schedules.
- Offer patient education on maintaining health and disease prevention.
- Comply with strict safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive patient information.
- Undertake various administrative tasks as required.
- Accurately prepare and update patient medical charts, including recording vital signs, medication details, lab results, and physician orders.
- Facilitate patient check-in process, collect co-pays, and update demographic/insurance information.
- Organize and schedule appointments, cardiac studies, and departmental coordination.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and voicemails, ensuring effective communication with the medical team.
- Process, organize, and submit medical records to healthcare providers, facilities, and insurance carriers.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and the workplace.
- Participate in administrative duties and special projects as needed.
- Be prepared for extended periods of seated work, repetitive tasks, and occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Fluency in English, Arabic and Chaldean
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or similar qualification.
- At least 2 years of experience in a medical office environment.
- Proficiency in typing (35 WPM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is advantageous.
- Experience in cardiology is a plus.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for Medical Assistant Certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
- Skilled in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and familiar with medical terminology.
- Ability to efficiently handle high-pressure situations.
