Job Summary
MGB Emergency Medicine serves nearly 500,000 patients annually, primarily through its 10 emergency department locations, and manages a diverse and complex portfolio of sponsored and non-sponsored research programs, training programs, and a variety of services and initiatives that support all mission areas of MGB EM. The Financial Analyst will be an integral part of the team, collaborating with financial leadership to submit and track expenses, help prepare monthly financials, and track clinical commitments.Summary:
The Financial Analyst I will be responsible for maintaining spreadsheets and statistical models for financial analyses and will assist with the preparation of various reports and presentations for management.

Essential Functions
-Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
-Creates ad hoc reports and performs financial analysis.
-Develops financial plans and reports for organizational leaders.
-Reviews financial reporting and ensures data integrity to enable management decisions.
-Evaluate capital expenditures and depreciation
-Analyze processes to identify gaps that can improve profit margins

Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials
Experience
Experience in accounting or finance 2-3 years required Experience in a role within a large healthcare organization 2-3 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Good analytical and mathematical skills.
- Intermediate Excel is required (pivot tables and V lookups).
- Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time.
- GAAP – Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data.
