Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cloud Operations Engineer with 1-2 years of experience in Microsoft Azure and SQL database administration. You will support the day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure, focusing on reliability, security, and performance of Azure-based services and SQL databases.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure cloud resources (VMs, Storage, Networking, Resource Groups).
  • Support administration and health of SQL Server and Azure SQL Databases (backup/restore, user management, performance monitoring).
  • Assist in deploying and configuring resources using Azure Portal, PowerShell, or ARM templates.
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, and system alerts related to cloud and database operations.
  • Collaborate with development and support teams to resolve issues and optimize cloud/database performance.
  • Implement and review security controls, RBAC, and access policies.
  • Document operational procedures and configurations for cloud and database resources.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance, patching, and updates for cloud and database environments.
     

About You

  • 1–2 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or database operations.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (resource management, monitoring, basic networking, security).  
  •  Practical experience with SQL Server or Azure SQL Database (T-SQL, backup/restore, monitoring).
  • Familiarity with Azure monitoring and alerting (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
  • Exposure to scripting tools (PowerShell, Azure CLI) is a plus.
  • Understanding of operational and security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Terraform).
  • Basic understanding of DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exposure to other public clouds (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
