We are seeking qualified candidates for a Maintenance Supervisor (Monday to Friday - 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM) at our Byhalia, Mississippi Distribution Center.


Position Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor will serve as a key liaison between the Facility Manager and maintenance personnel across 1st, 2nd, and C shifts. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution center.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily communication with the Facility Manager and direct reports across all shifts; review emails and work orders to prepare for the day’s activities.
  • Conduct routine inspections of both interior and exterior areas of the facility to identify preventative maintenance needs, assess completed work, and pinpoint areas requiring attention.
  • Support and participate in facility programs including the First Responder Program, Safety Committee, and 5S Committee.
  • Facilitate and lead pre-shift meetings to align team objectives and communicate operational updates.
  • Provide hands-on training and oversight to maintenance personnel on safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hot work permits, and equipment repairs; ensure documentation of all training activities, including annual refresher sessions.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of distribution center processes and utilize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to onboard new hires and retrain existing team members as needed.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with external vendors and contractors to support facility operations and service needs.


Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
    • Minimum of 2–4 years of maintenance experience in a distribution center or similar industrial environment.
    • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with electrical systems and conveyor maintenance is required.
    • 1–3 years of supervisory or team lead experience in a maintenance or operations setting.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in operating a variety of material handling equipment, including but not limited to: electric pallet jacks, forklifts, dock stockers, order pickers, sit-down lifts, and scissor lifts.
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors.
