What you'll do at Lewer:
Roles and Responsibilities
As an IT Intern, you drive operational continuity and minimize disruptions across the organization by collaborating with our in-house IT department and Managed Service Provider. You assist with implementing new technologies, resolving technical issues, and empowering team members through training and support. Beyond daily operations, you take ownership of designing scalable data pipelines and intuitive dashboards, leveraging tools to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive clarity, alignment, and smarter decisions across the organization.
Your Key Areas of Impact
Customer Service: You are the primary point of contact within the organization for resolving any in-house hardware or software issues. You collaborate with our Managed Service Provider to escalate issues, ensuring that tickets are resolved promptly and efficiently.
Technology Administration: You manage log-in credentials for various software and cloud applications, ensuring associates have the appropriate level of permission to complete their job duties. You onboard new associates by setting up workstations and familiarizing them with the company tech stack. Additionally, you assist with offboarding by securing and preparing hardware for repurposing.
Kaizen: You identify weaknesses or inefficiencies in existing workflows and proposed actionable improvements. You collaborate with teams implementing new software and cloud solutions to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Inventory Management: You maintain accurate inventory records and support hardware lifecycle planning to ensure data accuracy and functionality. You generate reports to inform purchasing decisions and contribute to annual budget reviews.
Data Engineering & Visualization: You design and document a scalable data pipeline to prepare, clean, and load data into the warehouse, including annual testing and upload procedures. You leverage Git integration in Microsoft Fabric for version control and script testing via Azure DevOps. You may gather user requirements to design a dashboard that enables intuitive access to database insights, enhancing usability and decision-making.
The Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel
This position is not eligible for work-from-home; your work is conducted primarily at the Lewer Administrative Offices. You must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time, and be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc. You will operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer 95% of the time. You will need to be able to lift to 20 lbs.

Your qualifications:
Requirements
You hold a degree or are actively enrolled at an accredited university in pursuing Information Technology, Data Science or a related field.
Your keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities are essential. You excel at maintaining and protecting sensitive and confidential information. As a problem solver, you anticipate potential issues and plan contingencies accordingly. Your written communication is poised and professional, with strong proofreading skills and the ability to craft organizational documents. You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe.
