We are looking for a Finite Planner to join our Petrochemicals (CP) team in Cornwall, ON.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful finite planning, raw material purchasing and operations at one of BASF’s growing sites. We are seeking an individual that embraces a continuous improvement mindset and willingness to identify and adopt digital improvements to our planning and logistics processes.

As a Finite Planner, you create chemistry by...
- Leading, developing, and maintaining the daily production schedule by product, quantity and timing that aligns with the monthly master production schedule within SAP and OMP+.
- Being responsible for raw material planning and purchasing that supports the production schedule. This includes purchase order execution and issue resolution in a complex, multi-source and global raw material supply.
- Identifying supply/demand imbalances after short-term supply and/or demand issues (operational or customer driven), then developing scenarios for resolution, aligning with the Master Planner, operations, product management sales, and customer service on path forward and making necessary adjustments in the finite schedule
- Acting with a customer and business focus, optimizing daily production schedules to minimize costs and off grade and enable operations AE goals
- Managing inventory levels at the Cornwall site, consistent with plasticizer business goals and customer service needs. Managing inventory reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and supporting physical inventories.
If you have...
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Engineering or related field.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Customer Care, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations and/or Production.
- Possess experience working with SAP/ERP in material planning modules.
- Have working knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
