Summary:
The Recreational Sports and Fitness Manager on Duty oversees the daily operations of recreation facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for users. This includes enforcing policies and procedures, monitoring activities, and assisting with facility maintenance and emergency situations. They may also be involved in staff training, providing customer service, and submitting work orders when necessary.
Essential Functions:
1.) Serve as the fitness center’s main point of contact during assigned shifts.
2.) Gym Management
Supervising the gym floor, ensuring equipment is used safely and properly, maintaining cleanliness, and reporting any damage or issues.
Enforcing all building policies and procedures related to gym usage, including safety guidelines and appropriate behavior.
Ensuring equipment is in working order and reporting any maintenance needs or repairs.
3.) Risk Management
Responding to emergencies, providing first aid if needed, and following established protocols for incidents or injuries.
4.) Sales Transactions
Conduct all point of sales and financial transactions.
5.) Staff Supervision
Supervise all on-duty fitness center staff, ensuring completion of their job responsibilities.
6.) Customer Service
Assisting members with inquiries, providing information about the facility and programs, and resolving complaints or concerns.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-Time.
Scheduled hours are up to 27 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$17.95 - $18.45 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
1-3 years of relevant experience.
