St Julien Hotel & Spa is looking for a professional and personable Bell/Valet Supervisor to assist in the daily operations and supervision of the department and its associates. This role will also be required to perform all standard Bell/Valet duties as needed, to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions:
- Effectively recruit and train Bell/Valet staff so that they are able and empowered to consistently provide service that meets the Hotel’s luxury service standards.
- Create and foster a work environment that minimizes turnover and maximizes retention.
- Treat Hotel associates with respect and dignity in regards to scheduling, diversity, appreciation/recognition, suggestions for improvement, and other pertinent job-related issues.
- Hold staff accountable to the policies and procedures of the Hotel; communicate performance expectations and provide ongoing, honest, and productive feedback.
- Assist with the creation of weekly schedules and help facilitate staff meetings on a regular basis; collaborate with Management on the content and execution of meetings.
- Perform all essential Bell/Valet duties including greeting Hotel guests at their personal vehicles with a warm and sincere welcome, marking cars for valet, assisting guests with luggage/belongings, and acquainting guests with their Hotel rooms/room features upon check-in.
- Ensure that all Bell/Valet associates have been properly trained on Company safe driving practices/policies and monitor for compliance on an ongoing basis.
- Champion the Hotel’s Flash Valet operating system and ensure it is consistently and properly utilized by staff.
- Report all cash tips in compliance with company policy and IRS regulations.
- Work closely with Management to report any property and/or vehicle damage in a timely manner.
- Assist the Director of Guest Services in executing all department-specific HR processes in a timely manner and in accordance with Company standards (e.g. weekly payroll, status changes, terminations).
- Ensure that the Hotel’s front drive and Valet desk is always clean, organized, and prepared to make an excellent first impression to guests.
- Assist with the coaching and counseling of Bell/Valet associates when appropriate and within boundaries of authority.
- Be able to knowledgeably answer guest inquiries about Hotel services and/or provide information regarding local features such as shopping, dining, nightlife, recreational destinations, etc.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with courtesy and expediency to the standards of St Julien Hotel & Spa, elevating larger issues to the attention of the Director of Guest Services.
- Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure that potential guest issues are addressed and resolved quickly and without interrupting the guests’ experience.
- Continually search for ways to improve procedures, training, interviewing, and other Hotel services.
- Other duties as requested by manager.

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory and/or management experience required.
- Previous customer service experience required. Valet and/or luxury hospitality experience highly preferred.
- Must have open availability and be able to work weekends and holidays. Interested candidates must be able to work any shift (morning/afternoon/evening) to assist with coverage, as needed.
