 Senior Human Resource Generalist

ND Paper, a leading paper product manufacturer in the US with approx. $1 billion annual sales, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings) Limited, the largest containerboard producer in China and Asia, with $10 billion annual sales.  We are an environmentally-friendly company that manufactures various types of high-quality pulp, paper and paper-based packaging materials. 

The Senior Human Resource Generalist plays a key role in supporting the HR function across multiple areas including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, and HR strategy. This position serves as a trusted advisor to management and employees, ensuring HR policies and practices align with organizational goals and legal requirements. This role reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively Maintain safe operations for all employees in their area of responsibility and drive safe work practices throughout the organization.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relation issues, providing guidance and resolution in a timely and professional manner.
  • Partner with hiring managers to support recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviewing and onboarding.
  • Administer and support performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and development plans.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and employee engagement programs.
  • Maintain and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers on HR best practices.
  • Lead or participate in special HR projects and initiatives.
  • Lead organizational development and training utilizing LMS.
  • Executes pre-employment contingencies.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Prepares weekly, quarterly, and monthly HR metric reports
  • Assists with College recruiting
  • Assists with managing company internship program

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong generalist background.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably ADP
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
