At Rowden, we design and integrate advanced systems that sense, connect, and protect data in challenging environments where quick decisions are vital. Our solutions use intelligent automation to enhance speed and efficiency and are built to be reliable and straightforward for critical operations in remote or high-pressure settings.
About the Role
We are looking for a driven and ambitious Account Executive focused on breaking into the UK emergency services market, with a remit to expand our presence across police, fire, and ambulance services nationwide. With a deep understanding of Rowden’s product lines and the operational realities faced by emergency services, you will spearhead efforts to position Rowden as the go-to technology partner for those on the front line.
Key areas of responsibility
- Proactively generating new leads and building a strategic account plan to grow Rowden’s presence in your domain.
- Building customer profiles to understand their unique needs, programmatic and technical roadmaps, and the competitive landscape. You’ll identify and create realistic growth strategies tailored to these insights.
- Working closely with engineering, legal, sales and leadership teams to shape sales strategies and shepherd engagements from initial meeting to contract signing. This includes taking responsibility for written communications and proposals.
- Developing a deep understanding of Rowden’s product lines and demonstrating how they address challenges faced by government agencies and frontline operators.
- Consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets by securing multi-year government contracts.
- Establishing and growing relationships with senior decision-makers across government organisations, positioning Rowden as a trusted partner.
- Serving as the key point of contact between Rowden and key account stakeholders and represent Rowden at industry events and conferences.
- Communicating Rowden’s value to customers, partners, and competitors, conveying the company’s ethos, insights, and competitive advantages.
Key skills, experience and behaviours
- Extensive experience working in or with UK emergency services, including police forces, fire and rescue services, or ambulance trusts.
- Track record of managing complex, long-cycle public sector sales.
- Proven ability to navigate frameworks, tendering processes, and multi-stakeholder buying environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and adapt messages for different technical and seniority levels.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and a high degree of professional integrity.
- A passion for using technology to solve real-world challenges and improve public safety.
- Willingness to travel across the UK as needed.
- Mission-first mindset – You prioritise the mission and our customers’ needs, always focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for the users of our systems.
- Ownership mentality – You take ownership for your pipeline and results, working autonomously and contributing to a high-performance culture.
- Technical aptitude and intellectual curiosity – You are comfortable communicating technical concepts within the context of the customer’s mission.
- Problem solver - You think creatively and find practical solutions to complex challenges, bringing fresh perspectives that enhance Rowden's market position.
